NO GODS, NO CAPES, NO MASTERS
NOT THE CAPES, NOT THE STATE, ONLY WE SHOULD DECIDE OUR FATE!

The JLA alone wields enough power to destroy the Earth in little under an hour. [1]

Over 5000 people have been maimed or suffered permanant disability at the hands of costumed vigilantes since 2000. [2]

The JLA and the JSA took their own children or 'adopted' orphaned children and exploted them, enlisting them in their private and public battles as scouts, front-line troops, and bait.

The Titans, a superhero team made up of the abandoned children, has among the top fatality rates for superhero leagues, yet are producing yet another generation of exploited children [3]..."

- From NGNCNM flyer passed out at Capecon

In a world where Superman is considered a near-universal symbol of goodwill, and many costumed vigilantes have fan clubs and celebrity status, there are still those who believe them to be dangerous lunatics, or argue they are a detriment to the idea of due process and rule by law. Others wonder if they are being exploited by those in power, and some cynically believe that the "capes" are doing the exploiting - either as ego gratification or as a semi-organized conspiracy to wrest control over the Earth and dominate the "lesser" human population.

NGNCNM is left-anarchist in philosophy, and has a strong influence over some progressive circles. Part of the reason Fauna maintains a secret ID is because of activist networks' rampant distrust of "the capes." While there are several organizations that question the effects of costumed superheroes on society, NGNCNM is probably one of the better-organized and militant groups, advocating an immediate end to funding and legal ban on all superhero activity, the reversal of convictions and arrests made by costumed vigilantes, and even forcible "outing" of those with a secret ID. Some would even go as far as to advocate that the children of "capes" be taken away and "deprogrammed," assuming that the children are victims of abuse or cult-like brainwashing.

As they are anarchist, they have no centralized leadership, with activities decided at a local level. The New Jersey chapter, for example, earned the scorn of many of the other chapters when they endorsed Marcia Long, former wife of Terry Long, for Senate.

While NGNCNM are content with political action for the time being, there are grumbling in the ranks that more "direct" action may be needed to convince the people of Earth that the "heroes" are anything but.
